Product Overview

The LeCroy Sierra M6-2 System provides an economical alternative to the industry-leading Sierra M6-4 for customers that require only 1 or 2 SAS/SATA ports. While providing all the analysis, traffic generation, emulation, error injection and compliance test capability of its larger brother, the Sierra M6-2 hardware platform delivers this in a much more compact package and with significant cost savings. The original Sierra M6-4 system was the first complete protocol test system to support a full range of protocol test features at data rates up to 6G. As 6G SAS and SATA development projects proliferate, there is an increasing need for a lower cost alternative for projects that only require 1 or 2 port analysis capability. The Sierra M6-2 is designed to address that need, without compromising on the full suite of analysis features offered in the Sierra M6-4. The ability to configure the features of the system exactly to your needs further reduces the overall system cost, as specific features can be selected or excluded as customer requirements dictate and budget constraints allow. Tailoring the system to your needs reduces your initial investment and then
protects that investment as your requirements change, allowing easy and economical upgrades to new features as product development requirements change.
