The Ameritec AM-48 is a handheld device that resembles a calculator, weighing 23 ounces, and can be transported and carried easily in a toolkit or even in your pocket. It allows technicians to conveniently test for transmission impairments.
Equipped with color-coded controls for easy operations, it uses the surface mount technology and is designed for field testing of voice and data on two or four wire telecommunications transmissions circuits. Additionally, the Ameritec AM-48 is compliant with Bell Standard 41009 and comes with a built-in telephone set, which allows testers to communicate. It has a built-in non-volatile memory, which can store up to ten operator defined test tone frequencies and send/measure test configurations.
