The Multiple Application Platform (MAP) Optical Power Meter module (mOPM-C1) is a third-generation power meter that brings a range of panel-mount and  remote-head configurations to the VIAVI Solutions MAP series.

The MAP Optical Power Meter (mOPM-C1) module extends the optical power measurement capability of the MAP series by offering four grades of optical performance in panel-mount or remote-head configurations with 1, 2, or 4 inputs per module. Designed with 4 unique performance ranges, versions are available ror all applications. Models with 110 dBm dynamic range are complimented by versions that support 26 dBm input power.

mOPM-C1 Product Highlights

• Detector options include InGaAs (General Purpose, Premium, Ultra Performance, High Power) and Silicon (Si).
• Wavelength range is 750–1700 nm for InGaAs and 800–1000 nm for Silicon detectors.
• Dynamic range reaches up to 110 dB depending on detector grade.
• Optical power measurement range spans from –110 dBm to +27 dBm (up to +33 dBm with integrated remote heads).
• Sampling rate is 250 kHz with a 4 µs sampling time.
• Internal buffer supports up to 100,000 data points per channel.
• Available in single‑, dual‑, or quad‑channel configurations.
• Supports both panel‑mount and remote‑head detector configurations.
• Integrated remote heads use a Teflon integrating sphere for high‑power and low‑PDL measurements.
• Polarization dependent loss is as low as ±0.01 dB on Premium and Ultra Performance models.
• Measurement linearity is typically ±0.010 dB across most operating ranges.
• Noise performance is as low as <0.1 pW (Ultra Performance detector).
• Compatible with single‑mode and multimode fiber (NA up to 0.27 or 0.33 depending on configuration).
• Supports FC, ST, LC, E2000, MU, MTP, and bare‑fiber adapters.
• Compatible with OPMscope optical sampling scope software for time‑domain analysis.
• Designed for applications including amplifier characterization, switching time, and absolute power measurement.
• Integrates with VIAVI MAP‑200 and MAP‑300 modular test platforms.
• Note: MAP mainframe required and rented or sold seperately
