Used Oscilloscopes for Sale

Find used oscilloscopes for sale from the industry's top manufacturers, including Keysight (Agilent/HP), Fluke, Teledyne LeCroy, Rohde & Schwarz, and Tektronix.

Browse by category for general- and special-purpose oscilloscopes that are used extensively across industries, such as engineering, telecom, medical, and automotive for designing, debugging, and compliance testing.

At TRS-RenTelco, expert technicians calibrate oscilloscopes in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017-compliant in-house laboratory. Refurbished oscilloscopes undergo the same final tests and calibration as new equipment and meet the same quality standards, so you receive them in excellent condition and ready to use.

Top Oscilloscope Brands

Keysight (Formerly Agilent) Oscilloscopes

Buy pre-owned Keysight oscilloscopes or get popular, old-generation Agilent scopes. You can also upgrade to newer models.

Explore oscilloscopes with industry-leading, high effective number of bits (ENOB); signal integrity; and the fastest waveform update rates. You also get high-quality software for protocol decoding, analysis, and compliance. Capture the true performance of your device under test (DUT) with our range of Keysight (Agilent/HP) oscilloscopes.

Fluke Oscilloscopes

Rugged, handheld oscilloscopes from Fluke take you beyond standard bench models. They can withstand dangerous, tough industrial environments. With Fluke handheld oscilloscopes, you get the capabilities of a multimeter, a bench oscilloscope, and a paperless recorder for installing, commissioning and servicing electronic and industrial equipment.

You can also explore the selection of Fluke oscilloscopes that can be set up continuously and automatically using Connect-and-ViewTM to help analyze complex signals.

Teledyne LeCroy Oscilloscopes

Buy certified, pre-owned, high-resolution Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes. You’ll continuously receive 12 bits of resolution to capture every detail of the waveform. Get crisp waveforms, greater signal detail, and high measurement precision with no compromises on resolution, sampling rate, and bandwidth.

These scopes operate with the MAUI Studio Pro software to let you work remotely from a PC, simulate a lab, easily share data, and collaborate better.

Rohde & Schwarz Oscilloscopes

Choose from a range of general-purpose and application-specific oscilloscopes from Rohde & Schwarz with excellent signal fidelity, high acquisition rates, an innovative trigger system and UI, and a range of probes and software solutions.

With R&S oscilloscopes, you get features such as deep trigger, Bode plots, real-time de-embedding, outstanding low noise, and fast update rates. Browse and order calibrated, pre-owned R&S oscilloscopes at TRS-RenTelco.

Tektronix Oscilloscopes

Choose from our inventory of Tektronix benchtop, mixed-signal, mixed-domain, and performance real-time oscilloscopes with probes and accessories to match your specific application. With Tektronix oscilloscopes, you also get optional TekScopeTM and Keithley Kickstart software to analyze the most challenging system designs.

Oscilloscope Probes, Accessories, and Connectors

You can also access probe systems, oscilloscope accessories, and adapters, and connectors from manufacturers like Wilder Technologies.

What should I look for in an oscilloscope?

Before you buy oscilloscopes, consider the following points:

  • Scope application: Do you need a benchtop device for lab use or a handheld device for the field?
  • Signal measurement: How many signals do you want to measure at a given time?
  • Amplitude: What are the maximum and minimum amplitudes and frequencies that you need to measure?
  • Sampling: Is your signal sample repetitive or single-shot?
  • Frequency: Do you need to view the signal in the frequency domain or time domain?

Also, look for after-sales support, financing options, and calibration certificates when you buy a pre-owned scope.

What should I check after purchasing an old oscilloscope?

Follow these steps to verify the scope's condition:

  • Check the device for any anomalies in the body, such as cracks, scratches, dents, and tampered warranty-void stickers.
  • Switch on the device to make sure it’s in working condition.
  • Verify that all input channels work by using the probes included with the package. You can use the Auto button, rather than adjusting the knobs manually.
  • Check the display for broken pixels and whether all the buttons are working properly. You can either do this manually or via the self-testing feature, commonly available in the Utility section.
  • Check whether the keyboard works properly and if the encoders are functioning.
  • Perform the button backlight check.

With these basic steps, you can confirm whether your scope is in good condition and working properly.

What is the difference between the digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO) and the mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO)?

The digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO) allows you to deliver unique acquisition and display capabilities to accurately reconstruct signals. Its microprocessor works in parallel with the integrated acquisition system, so the scope's acquisition speed remains unaffected. Use the DPO for communication mask tests, advanced analyses, digital debugging of intermittent signals, and designing and troubleshooting various applications.

The mixed-signal oscilloscope (MSO) combines the functionality of a DPO with that of a 16-channel logic analyzer. Because they can analyze both analog and digital signal representations, MSOs can perform root cause analysis of digital problems faster. Use MSOs to debug digital circuits with their capabilities, such as high-res acquisition, powerful digital triggering, and analysis.

What calibration do you perform for test equipment?

Our refurbished equipment undergoes the same quality checks as new equipment, as well as a 16-point certification process in an ISO 9001/A2LA/17025/Z540 laboratory. You also get a calibration certificate, warranty, and technical support.

What delivery options do you offer for used equipment?

Once you specify your requirements and finalize the order, we ship the equipment for delivery as early as the next working day. We ship most used equipment on the same working day. Our equipment will arrive at your site fully calibrated and ready to use.

Do you have financing programs for test equipment?

Yes. You can buy Accu-Plus pre-owned equipment and spread payments over up to 12 months without interest. With certified refurbished brands, you can also save up to 90 percent on the list price of new equipment. Contact us for more information.
